Travelling to this mountain resort is an adventure in itself as the road winds its way up over scenic rice fields and mountains.
SUNSET IN PINAMUNGAJAN
A perfect way to cap a day's adventure in Pinamungajan is to just sit back and watch as the sun sets in the horizon.
As one experienced spelunker attests, Pinamungajan is a glorious place for caving enthusiasts. Its 118 caves serve as a honeycomb of adventures for those who like caving.
Proof of a rich marine ecosystem in Pinamungajan's coast is its lush mangrove forests where land intersects with the sea.
BEACH RESORTS IN TAJAO

Snaking its way to the sea through thick nipa and mangrove forests, the river in Sacsac takes boat riders to this pool of fresh water at the foot of a hill.
Its rice bowl in Barangay Punod, 14 corn hills in Barangay Tupas and vast vegetables farms in other areas are proof that agriculture has a strong base in Pinamungajan.
The town's beaches come to life especially in the mornings with fishermen lining up their boats to unload their catch to waiting fish sellers. There are also several fishponds supporting the demand for milkfish in the province.
If water is life, then it is safe to say that Pinamungajan is most alive with the many springs such as this one in Sacsac and in other barangays.
SANTA MONICA CHURCH
It used to be under Barili, until in 1850 when the area under the Sta. Monica Church was declared a parish.
Pinamungajan prides itself as having the only Municipal Hall in the province that offers the best view of the town.
Taking the dirt road to the upland barangay of Busay, one can get a bird’s eye view of the town proper – the Municipal Hall, the Sta. Monica Parish Church, the Campalabo sandbar in the sea and even the Kanlaon Volcanao in Negros.
